@renoomokri Reno, your comments are divisive and inflammatory. Celebrations of the former President's passing were indeed reported in some parts of the north, but let's not generalize or politicize this issue. Instead, let's work towards healing and unity,

Irrespective of how bitterly the Nigerian Civil War was fought, when Dim Emeka Ojukwu died on Saturday, November 26, 2011, nobody in Northern Nigeria celebrated either individually or as a group. Rather, prominent Northerners mourned, with a number of them attending his funeral. Chief Emeka Ojukwu was given a National Burial funeral as an officer of the Nigerian Armed Forces by the Nigerian Army on Friday, March 2, 2012, as seen in this photo. As you can see from the photo, the soldiers who carried his coffin hailed from all parts of Nigeria, including Northern Nigeria. These Northern leaders and soldiers did not consider Chief Ojukwu an enemy, as Peter Obi described General Gowon on his 90th birthday. Mr. Obi called Mr. Gowon an "enemy" to be forgiven—his exact word! It will be hard to find a higher standard of civilisation than that displayed by Mutanen Arewa after Chief Ojukwu died, or a lower act of barbarism like the present celebration over the death of General Muhammadu Buhari by some Nigerians. Being governed by your emotions rather than principles keeps you in a very low state of vibration. Reno Omokri Gospeller. Deep Thinker. #TableShaker. BREAKING NEWS: The Federal Government has explained its decision to install solar panels at the Aso Rock Villa. The Director General of the Energy Commission of Nigeria, Mustapha Abdulahi, said it is unsustainable for the Aso Rock Villa to continue to pay about ₦47 billion yearly in power bills. He said that this is why President Bola Tinubu approved ₦10 billion for the solar power grid to power the presidential villa.

Nigeria plays and will continue to play a defining role in shaping Africa’s peace and security landscape. Our collaborative efforts with fellow African nations and the African Union underscore our commitment to this critical endeavour. I congratulate Ambassador Bankole Adeoye on his well-deserved re-election as the African Union Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace, and Security. His leadership and dedication to conflict resolution, governance, and regional stability have been instrumental in advancing Africa’s security architecture. In another milestone, Nigeria was also re-elected to the AU Peace and Security Council with 46 votes out of 47. This reinforces our nation’s key role in African diplomacy and security affairs. These re-elections are a victory for Nigeria and the entire continent as we work towards a safer and more united Africa. I am confident that Ambassador Bankole’s continued leadership will further strengthen Africa’s collective response to security challenges and democratic governance. Double congratulations to Nigeria! #AfricaUnited #NigeriaInAU #PeaceAndSecurity

I enjoyed engaging in crucial discussions about advancing Nigeria's role in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital innovation with you in Paris, Sundar @sundarpichai. We are also exploring partnership opportunities with Google, which will focus on five key areas: enhancing scalable cloud infrastructure, equipping our workforce with essential skills for the future, promoting AI innovation and research, driving cloud adoption, and elevating Nigeria’s standing in the global tech landscape as a hub for innovation and AI transition. It is worth noting that Nigeria already has some bright prospects in the AI space, including the likes of Awarri Technologies @awarritech, with whom the Federal Government is currently collaborating to build critical AI software infrastructure to meet the needs of the local market unique to our arts and culture, languages, and society, amongst others, which have mostly been put on the backburner by current existing models. This includes data capture platforms and an LLM for Nigerian languages in partnership with our National Centre for AI and Robitics @NCAIRNigeria. This partnership conversation with Google aligns seamlessly with our Renewed Hope Agenda, which emphasises economic diversification through industrialisation, digitisation, and innovation. This will empower businesses, create new opportunities, and establish Nigeria as a significant player in the global digital economy. The Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy @FMCIDENigeria will provide strategic oversight, while NITDA @NITDANigeria will spearhead the implementation. Nigeria is poised to take the lead in AI and technology—this is merely the start of an exciting journey! #NigeriaRising

I have just delivered my presidential address at the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2025: ‘From Climate Imperatives to Economic Prosperity: Bringing Africa Into the Future of Global Energy.’ In my speech, I reiterated that resilience against the adverse effects of climate change is essential for safeguarding our African communities and economies, but sustainability must be inclusive. As Africa’s most populous nation and one of its largest economies, Nigeria recognises its responsibility to demonstrate the required leadership on these matters. Our efforts are anchored on three pillars: Energy Transition, Climate Resilience, and Sustainable Development. Our challenges are global, and solutions will only be effective if we work together in the spirit of mutual respect and a shared future. We are, therefore, working tirelessly and must do what we can to ensure that our policies promote equity and social justice, leaving no one behind. ~ PBAT #ADSW2025

This evening, on the eve of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, I had meaningful conversations with Rwandan President Paul Kagame. Africa has what it takes to develop itself. We have the resources, the people, and the capacity. We must look inward to improve intra-African trade and collaboration to benefit the African people and the continent. The time for Africa is now. We can. We must. We will. #AfricaRising
