@jovan_deeb The Shane baz curve to judge. Worst pitch candidate back to back days on a curve to judge
English

@ejguinness14 @ShaunMorash That’s true and you can still DH rice that way too if they do want him to have a day to recover if he can swing it still
English

@Joeyyymoe @ShaunMorash I wonder if they’ll give Rice a day off and play Belli at first and Dominguez in left. They’ve won this series. Now should they do that? Probably not. But I think it’s a possibility.
English

@ncostanzo24 If the twins are still eh. They should call for Jeffers
English

Way too early deadline needs for the Yanks are
1. (By a significant margin) bullpen arms
2. A right handed hitting backup C
Joe Randazzo@YankeeLibrarian
If the Yankees make trades this summer, it should be for pitching. Specifically, the bullpen. That might mean George Lombard Jr. plays short or third — which isn't ideal — but they can get by with him. They can't get by with this pen. My piece for SI! si.com/mlb/yankees/on…
English

It’s okay that he’s buns because his expected numbers are good lol
Dads Talking Baseball🍺@DadsTalkingBall
@GarysheffieldJr Grisham’s bat is disappointing, but the defense too?
English

@JLas43_ I think we need to tell doval to leave the slider at home. Just throw 99-100 sinker cutters
English

@PeterAppel23 As long as Ben rice is the 4th head I think this is ok
English

The Mets are willing to deal a pile of shit. What a report
Mets Batflip@metsbatflip1
The Mets are willing to deal any starting pitcher other than Nolan McLean, Freddy Peralta or Clay Holmes, per @jorgecastillo
English

@AndThatsBB @will_nba_hater He tried to tell me that expected stats mean nothing and I tried to tell him Ben rice is basically very similar to last year. And then just brought up Ichiro randomly idk. I wonder what his dad thinks about hitting the ball hard and what that means
English

@will_nba_hater Gary Sheffield Jr. talks about hitting like he has Gary Sheffield Sr’s resume
English

This genius wanted Ben Rice gone a year ago. Don’t listen to him.
Gary Sheffield Jr.@GarysheffieldJr
Lead off hitting .152 and playing below average defense in center field good god
English

@mikedorb1 @FeralYankeesFan @GarysheffieldJr @SwagtoImpress You also don’t do this without high velocity off the bat. Home runs with less than 95 percent exit velocity are about 2 percent of a regular mlb season home run rate
English

@FeralYankeesFan @Joeyyymoe @GarysheffieldJr @SwagtoImpress How about hitting the ball over the fence? Then you don't have to worry about bad luck.
English

@FeralYankeesFan @mikedorb1 @GarysheffieldJr @SwagtoImpress You can probably expand that to line drives. Fly balls and see similar results
English

@mikedorb1 @Joeyyymoe @GarysheffieldJr @SwagtoImpress Last season
Batting average on pulled ground balls >95mph: .322
Batting average on pulled ground balls <95mph: .143
English

@FeralYankeesFan @GarysheffieldJr @mikedorb1 @SwagtoImpress I don’t know either. He was the one who brought up his exit velocity and all I replied was it’s basically the same as last year
English

@GarysheffieldJr @mikedorb1 @SwagtoImpress I agree it is a skill. So is making the ball hit the barrel. Thats not calculator or protractor. You can ask your pops about hard hit barrels and what it did for him. He’ll also tell you plenty hit a glove. It’s baseball. Doesn’t mean he did something wrong
English

@Joeyyymoe @mikedorb1 @SwagtoImpress They don’t hit the ball aimlessly
Ichiro couldn’t hit the ball north of 115 mph off the bat but his contact is more likely to find grass out of skill alone
Baseball isn’t played with calculators and protractors
Results are results
English

@mikedorb1 @GarysheffieldJr @SwagtoImpress Which is more likely to get thru the hole a 82 mph ground ball or a 102 mph
English

@GarysheffieldJr @SwagtoImpress His exit velocity was at the top of the sport last year
English

@SwagtoImpress No none of it. His launch angle is different and his exit velocity is literally tops in the sport. Was good last year, not even close to this.
To suggest it’s a matter of luck turning around is ridiculous
English

@TalkinJake @TalkinYanks Ask him about doval. It seems like his cutter or sinker is not getting hit. But his slider is getting crushed. Has 4 XBH off of it alone this year. Have the thought about just going cutter sinker?
English

@JLas43_ I mean e4 that’s ya ball game without an extra run getting in
English

@RyanGarciaESM Ryan they’re goated! Question tho is it me or does Dovals slider is getting crushed. Last two outings he’s hitting 100 pretty quickly. Shouldn’t he just do that?
English
