Loved doing a new Writing Workshop @SheffLibraries for 11-16yro @otsfestival ‘Write to Protest, Write to Change’. And whoah, we made magic! We laughed, we cried, we WROTE, defending & celebrating what we care about. Keanu gave me permission to share his fab poem on Art. Wow, eh?

A powerful letter to school librarians that made me cry @ThatKerryHudson because, yes, this is what we do (it's a deep, but essential privilege). It's safety, a refuge, a champion, aspiration & inspiration: It's saying “Look at the world & all the things you might do in it.”

Always tissues in the school library. Y8s have finished Of Mice & Men ... proper sobbing! Tissues handed out, kind words, lots of chat about other books, films, TV that has really moved them, & a handful of new books to take away & read. Worlds of empathy, worlds of history..

Helen is a wonderfully innovative & talented artist & official artist for the @wainwrightprize. But she was also a former student here @jog_school! And we recently spotted these stunning butterflies - the school books she mentions here, were #JOGfamily school books! Oh my heart!
