Have you ever wondered what Manami Toyota could have looked like in a WWF ring? Her recent interview with Sports Graphic Number suggests it could have been closer than most people realise. Yet to focus on that alone would be to miss the bigger tragedy entirely. We already know the WWF was on a creative nadir in the mid-1990s, and history shows what happened when AJW talents crossed over. It is hard to believe they would have done any better, even with one of the greatest performers in the world on their roster. The real tragedy is loyalty. Toyota personally loaned them up to 200,000 yen, and what did she get in return? She wasn't even notified that WWF had shown interest in her - and AJW went bankrupt a mere three days later. The money wouldn't have made a difference anyway but it was costly for Toyota. Her story is a cautionary tale. Bret Hart, around the same period, was another example. Only in very rare cases does loyalty pay - and those cases are few and far between. #豊田真奈美 #wwe

🏍💨 A little bit longer... and her investigation begins. #FatalFury
