It's feature rich compared to lower variant of cars you mentioned and cost factor. Driving dynamics are real difference. Haven't drove Merc but Skoda, VW, Audi. Have driving Slavia close to 200 with 5 pax and you won't feel. Try driving Creta, Seltos around 120+, you will feel difference. Still, outgoing XLine was eye catcher. I've drove it couple times.

Kia Seltos is an achievement man. It is 80-90 Percent of Merc C Class, BMW X3, Audi q5 at 1/4th the price. The whole car is so rich in experience, in fact the interior are better than that of Germans forget the counter parts. Will drive it a little to decide whether to buy

5 Things that first time buyers, need to keep in mind before comparing a spec sheet of multiple cars and making a purchase decision. 1) 60 km rule - Your service centre should be within 60 km max 2) Torque - If you are going to drive on highways and hills, prioritise torque (nm) over CC and BHP 3) Naturally Aspirated Petrol - If you want easy on pocket maintenance after 6th year too and will keep the car for longer period, prefer Naturally Aspirated Petrol Engine over Turbo Petrol and Diesel too. These engines are ok to travel from A to B with peace. Cars from Maruti, Toyota and Honda will fetch you excellent resale value in C2C market. 4) AMT and AT - If you are going to drive majorly in city, prefer AMT or Automatic after learning to drive AT car properly before getting a new one. AMT under 10 lakh is OK but above 10 lakh, prefer a proper Automatic (CVT, Torque Converter and DCT/DCA) 5) 6 Airbags and HSA - Don't compromise on solid safety kit in 2026. Safety rated car, 6 airbags, hill start assist/hold is a must. Also, have a basic understanding of platform (monocoque and ladder-frame). Prefer ladder frame with RWD only for rural areas and hills. BONUS TIP - If fuel efficiency is a big concern, consider an EV if you have parking at home to install home charger. Driving radius of 200 km. Range will be 6-8 km per kWh of your battery pack in real time, no matter what brands say. Get this tech if you are going to keep your car for 8+ years and running is 1000+ km per day. Read warranty thing very carefully. Otherwise, Hybrid Victoris/GV/City/Hyryder/Invicto/Hycross are near perfect if you are ok with 16-24 km/l and don't need an extra headache of charging your car. These hybrids still don't have any solid alternative for city use. Diesel is fine for 50:50 use with 1500+ km monthly running and if you understand that authorities may come hard at Diesel in coming years.

While buying your new car, what was the 2nd closest choice of car that you rejected and for what reason? For exp: I rejected Seltos Turbo DCT in 2020 to get VW T-Roc because I felt that Seltos isn't as well built. Lately picked GLA over iX1 because iX1 / X1 were not having All-Wheel-Drive option. @Abigode @volklub Stretch a little and get new one. Maybe some other car in budget but new. That way you wave warranty, pace of mind etc. Used vehicle should be for first time learners and have to be around 3-5 lakh. Obv. This applies to budget cars only.

@volklub Different use case paaji, Cloude's models are actually better for coding. For General tasks ChatGPT and Gemini has different edge.

Claude is overhyped! It always makes mistakes when I create car comparison reports for my clients, so I’ve now started doing them manually (for the most important 52 features). What's the point when you need to recheck your work, every single point. ChatGPT and Gemini are even worse for such things which require close scrutiny of each point. They rely on online information which itself sometimes is incorrect.

Uninstalling an app doesn't delete the proof that you ran it. Windows keeps a Ghost File for every program you execute to speed up loading times. It’s called Prefetch. Located in C:\Windows\Prefetch, these .pf files log: The exact Date & Time you ran it. The file path it ran from. The Run Count (How many times you executed it). Forensics teams use this to prove you ran "CCleaner" or "Malware.exe" even after you scrubbed the drive. 💀
