It concluded that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. In 1975, Senator Frank Church chaired the Senate Select Committee to Study Governmental Operations with Respect to Intelligence Activities. Their report concluded that government investigations into the assassination by the FBI and CIA were fundamentally flawed. In 1976, the U.S. House Select Committee on Assassinations was established to investigate the assassinations of President Kennedy and Martin Luther King, Jr. The committee released their report in 1979. It is available through the National Archives although some documents remain sealed. Page 97: “The committee found that, to be precise and loyal to the facts it established, it, was compelled to find that President Kennedy was probably killed as a result of a conspiracy.”
