@Sportsnet Cut in half? A five run lead cut to three. Half? 🧐 Stick to baseball.

Well folks, it's finally here.
I've ranked all @CHLHockey arenas 1-60 based on my experiences. These are totally subjective, so please don't be angry if your hometown is low lol.
Big thank you to @ohlarenaguide for hosting this on his website.

@ohlarenaguide Sounds like a sucking and blowing position to me.

@jtbourne The NHL, I assume through the CBA,has determined the basis for the interest rate used (5.41471%) to discount the future payments to the year in which the payment was earned. Neither the team nor the player affect the discount rate used-only the term and the yearly payment amounts

Here's my best attempt to explain "deferred salary," as a complete financial amateur who has been trying to understand it. Feel free to correct me if you actually like, know stuff.
Frank Vatrano's new 3-year contract has a cap hit of call it 4.5 million. He's gonna get paid 3 million a year, for 3 years, which is 9 million total. Then starting in 2035(!), he's gonna get $900k for 10 straight years. That's 9 million more in total.
So, 18 million dollars for three years of play, yet the cap hit is 4.5million, not 6 million, which you'd get from 18/3.
Essentially, while getting paid that 3m in real dollars per year, the 1.5 extra on the cap is lopped off, and that amount would start earning a guaranteed interest of 5%, and the same happens with the 1.5 extra the next year, and the next. That total 4.5m (1.5x3) would accrue value sitting there for 10 years at 5% interest before the first payout of 900k in 2035, that money pool continues to earn, and he continues to get paid that 900k per year.
And so, the team has only "paid" him 4.5m total per year in real dollars (hence the cap hit), and it's almost like that extra money has become a guaranteed, no-risk investment for Vatrano.
Helps the Ducks now, and gives Vatrano real security when he's retired.

@401_da_sarpanch Why is Tesla in the headline? Awful accident. Speed? Seatbelts? Driver influence?

@PrabSarkaria Based on what was sanity missing when the bike lanes were installed? Objective data matters. Ontario has 15 million people and just a few of them live outside Etobicoke.
