Day 18: I was not able to completely finish my draft prospect sql tool before draft night, but it is okay I will finish it in a few days and use it to analyze the new rookies from the 2026 NBA Draft. Today I almost finished building the complete dataframe. #100DaysofCode

Day 17: I accidentally overloaded the SportsReference website mid session so I had to focus a lot of logic, pseudeocode, and writing code without debugging. I decided I will only collect the final year of each prospect as that is ~85% of their evaluation. #100DaysofCoding

Day 16: I now had all of the drafted NBA players from the last 15 drafts in a CSV file and started the process of scraping their college statistical profiles. Not sure yet if I want to only collect each prospects final season or average of all seasons. #100DaysofCode

@zaidi_abdullaa I'm making a tool where I can use SQL queries to filter draft prospects by certain stat criteria that I am curious about to help me scout prospects for my favorite team the OKC Thunder

Day 15: I have finished making the basic table. Now I need to make the stats table by scraping the players sports reference pages. This will be the hardest part of the project, but hopefully I can finish it and have the SQL tables by tomorrow. #100DaysofCoding

Day 14: I started the process of scraping the rookies from the 2025 NBA Draft. I need to make the Dataframe with the player id, player name, college, draft pick, draft year. Once I have this data, I can then iterate by each row and scrape actual stats. #100DaysofCode

Day 13: With the NBA Draft coming up in about 4-5 days. I decided the first SQL project I will do will be a tool to help me observe different college prospects past and present using SQL queries. My goal is to have this project done before the draft. #100DaysofCoding

Day 12: Very productive day! I was able to finish 3 lessons which is a lot for me and now I am finished with the interactive tutorial on sqlbolt.com. I am now comfortable with the basics of SQL and can start on a sport project tomorrow! #100DaysofCoding

Day 11: I spent today taking notes on different types and constraints for making tables. Slow day, but not all days will be super productive. #100DaysofCode

Day 9: I am learning how to insert data into databases. Typically, each row of data should contain values for each of the columns in the database. However, in a cases where the table supports default values, you can insert only the columns by specifying them. #100DaysofCoding

Day 5: Man JOINs are tricky.. I was stuck on these two problems for ages. I was able to figure out one by myself, the other I needed to see the solution. I look forward to getting more comfortable with JOINs because they seem very important. #100DaysofCoding

Day 4: I am getting the hang of JOINs. I feel confident with INNER JOIN's and now moved into OUTER JOINs (LEFT, RIGHT, and FULL JOINs). It is pretty tricky right now, but I feel like I am getting the hang of it. #100DaysofCoding

Day 2: I really love how this website is structured, I feel like I am learning a lot! Today I practiced using SQL keywords such as ORDER BY, LIMIT, and OFFSET. Tomorrow I will go over normalization and using JOIN to collect data from multiple tables. #100DaysofCoding

Day 1: I am back on summer break with only a few classes so I decided I will do this challenge again. I am starting with practicing my SQL because I went to a datathon a few months ago and was very rusty. I am using the website, sqlbolt.com #100DaysOfCoding
