People are being way too hard on Louie Gohmert. His proposal to give the outgoing Vice-President total power to select the next President makes a lot of sense. Popular elections are too complicated, prolonged, messy, and democratic.

Trump WILL lose in November. He WILL challenge the results. His die-hard base WILL take to the streets. And the fate of our precious democracy will be in the hands of Republicans like Marco Rubio, Mike DeWine, John Roberts, and more concerning Mitch McConnell, and Kevin McCarthy.
