Norway's goalscorer Andreas Schjelderup thought key decisions went against them in their World Cup quarter-final against England.

Hard to feel like Norway haven't been completely hard done by. Between conceding a goal that touched the skycam, to having a goal ruled out for a 50/50 challenge in the box, to awarding Pickford a foul after he bashed into his own teammate...some very bizarre decisions today.

Absurd decision to overrule Norway’s second goal for Haaland pushing back on Anderson ahead of a goal where the England midfielder would have had no impact on the eventual finish. Once again FIFA VAR favours the bigger nation. #NORENG #WorldCup

@CraigHope_DM Only if every player turns up and puts in a good shift. Messi would embarass the version that played Norway.

Hard to call now. England lucky to get through second half without conceding. They looked spent & changes didn't have desired impact. But you still suspect England 2-1...

Right listen, if he wants to leave, he has to go, there is zero point going on with the "club say not for sale" bollocks. Just like Isak it is completely pointless. This is a huge fuck on, losing Tonali and Bruno and replacing them with prospect kids is dangerous.

@jackson_NUFC_ @agbnufc_ Did Kane 'intend' to kick the Mexican player's foot and concede a penalty? Probably not, but all the pundits except Shearer said it was a penalty. Dermot Gallagher knows what he is talking about and he was 100% yes to a red card for the US player.

@JohnKeith53 @agbnufc_ While I do agree with that point mostly I think it’s also important to notice he’s not even looking at the player. Hes looking at the ball

I was enjoying the US doing well for the fans and vibes but they need to get bounced now. This Balogun saga embarrassed the sport completely. Not even Blatter would pull this.

BREAKING: FIFA President Gianni Infantino on Flo Balogun's red card. “I have seen the public comments regarding the decision of the independent FIFA Disciplinary Committee related to the suspension of Folarin Balogun, and I would like to reiterate a fundamental principle of FIFA’s governance. “FIFA’s judicial bodies are independent. They operate autonomously, apply the FIFA Disciplinary Code, and decide cases based on the applicable regulations and the specific facts before them. Their independence is essential to the credibility and integrity of football, and this must always be respected. “Yes, I regularly discuss matters related to the FIFA World Cup with the President of the United States, and on this matter, I did receive a call from President Donald Trump, just as I receive calls from heads of state, government officials, football stakeholders and business executives from around the world on many different issues. During our conversation, I explained that there was an ongoing legal process involving FIFA’s independent judicial bodies and that the case would be decided in due course by the competent bodies. That is how FIFA’s system works, and it is a principle that I will always uphold. “I read the decisions of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee when they are issued. Sometimes I am surprised by them. Sometimes I agree with them, and sometimes I disagree. “What I always do, however, is respect those decisions and the autonomy of the bodies that make them. Whether we personally like a decision or not is irrelevant. Respect for independent institutions and the rule of law is what protects the integrity of our competitions and the credibility of FIFA at all times.”

@agbnufc_ the worst part is it’s not even the fans fault but they’re getting a lot of stick. i think it would’ve gone over a lot better if the red card would’ve been rescinded rather than suspended. I really don’t think it was a red
