Beer drinkers - be prepared to reach deeper into your pockets, with the average price of a schooner set to hit $12.
Beer is being slugged with a second tax increase in just six months, rising at the fastest rate in 30 years. @WesternWilson9 #9News

“Americans love golf as a conquest…the Scots love golf as a game. When you play golf in Scotland there will never be a single person when you walk off the course that asks your score. They’ll only ask you what did you think of their course?”

This is important research from @MonashUni. Aussie drinking habits have changed dramatically. For beer this means we’re drinking less and often choosing a mid strength or zero alc. Good to see benefits of getting out to pubs and clubs recognised. heraldsun.com.au/news/victoria/…

Welcome support from @JoshFrydenberg to allow pubs to sell takeaway beer through growlers and squeakers. Over 370,000 kegs of beer had to be tipped last year due to Covid-19 lockdowns with $1 billion in lost beer sales for hospitality. #Exciseduty1" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">ato.gov.au/Business/Excis…

With pubs closed across Qld, NSW and Vic, celebrating International Beer Day today is a challenge.
But we can still grab an Australian beer, raise a glass to our amazing brewing industry and look forward to getting back out to our local when we can.

Excited to discover that there is "a Network consisting of the Most Ancient Eurorean Towns."
The first official meeting of the mayors of the member towns took place in Argos in June 1994. web.archive.org/web/2005102202…

@holland_tom As a schoolboy studying A-level Ancient Greek in Colchester that summer of 1994 I was invited out to Argos by the mayor and visited a Greek school. It was a very kind and special way to cement the friendship between our ancient towns.
