@Detroitred16 @MarcusMStanley Well I can agree that it is wise to ensure the spending is not wasteful and that contractors are well and all that but it does lessen the force of the argument. Welfare spending is still like 3 or 4 times military spending.

Some Christians are going to respond negatively to this but public processions *are* "acts of domination". In this case, Palm Sunday commemorates the triumphal entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem. Such a commemoration is fundamentally about His domination over human society.

Too many are too polite to say this. But mass ritual prayer in public places is an act of domination. Perform these rituals in churches if you wish. But they are not welcome in our public places and shared institutions. Trafalgar Square belongs to all of us. It is a national memorial to our independence and our salvation. Last night was not like a televised football match or a St Patrick’s Day celebration. It was an act of domination and therefore division. It shouldn’t happen again.
