The Lib Dems tearing massive chunks out of the Tories in places like Chichester, NE Hants and Bicester is a much bigger story, and ought to give the Tories more pause for thought, than Reform winning a handful of seats. Naturally the Tories will learn all the wrong lessons.

@adamcoatham @chilternrailway Does seem to have gotten worse in recent years. I heard another operator who'd put more carriages on (for social distancing reasons) but kept them since restrictions ease. Here the far too familiar message is of a reduced service due to unavailable carriages

All the focus on HS2 is on what happens next rather than the last 10 years. Whatever decision is made there are serious questions about the competence of the British state and successive administrations that a 330 mile high-speed train line has proven (apparently) impossible.
