NEW: In Fall 2019, the same IC IG Michael Atkinson who fast-tracked the impeachment whistleblower's complaint vs Trump as "urgent" ignored the ODNI whistleblower who swore he was pressured by Clapper's henchmen to change his intel assessment to show Putin helped Trump get elected

Cornyn beating Paxton last night by 1 pt is a big deal. Yes, Paxton barely campaigned and he and his allies spent a fraction that Cornyn and his allies did ($71 mil-$4 mil per @AdImpact_Pol). BUT, Paxton underperformed. People close to Paxton yesterday told me that Paxton would beat Cornyn by 6. AND, Cornyn hopes this outcome opens the door to a Trump endorsement. The next three months until the runoff are going to be expensive and ugly.

Evening Senator @BasedMikeLee. Does the proposal you have put forward require a change to the Senate’s rules as they currently exist? If so, how do propose to accomplish that. If not, what is stopping you from moving forward with the “talking filibuster?” If I am wrong, correct with an argument not an assertion please. Thanks.

5) And that gets to the author's real issue. Hers is a vision of textbook parliamentary maneuver, in which a bold, united, unflagging GOP uses the talking filibuster to break down an old, tired D minority. My piece is a foretelling of how this will more likely play out--which spoils the party punch. Again, wanna have a debate over whether to do this? Great. But nobody should go into this blind to the pitfalls.

🚨 PETER DOOCY: “I just got a text from a senior White House official confirming a story that just crossed Axios — Susan Wiles, the White House chief of staff, James Blair, one of her top lieutenants, and a bunch of chiefs of staff as well as some cabinet level secretaries, are meeting right now near Capitol Hill in private to figure out President Trump’s messaging strategy around how to sell his accomplishments and to help their chances in the midterms. Next week’s SOTU will be a chance to do that in primetime.”

Do you think @nataliegwinters was hired by Steve Bannon because of her BIG….. brain?
