Absolutely loved this world cup. For personal reasons it kept me sane, but it's had everything. For me the highlights, Cape Verde, a footballing magical tale. All night long with England in the Azteca, & Messi's last dance. Forget the garbage around it still a beautiful game.

So ends the summer football fix. Now roll on the proper stuff...

@johnludds A great script from the incredible Robert bolt aswell. Imagine having to write a full script which is essentially a middle aged court room drama in,not old English,but definitely different English.

A Man for all Seasons on BBC2 now. What a wonderful movie. Great acting and writing. Just drips with class. A young John Hurt amongst it all being a right piece of work!
