When you’re overseas, you can plan an operation perfectly like the Osama bin Laden raid, but things will always go sideways. What sets us apart is how we adapt. We’re the best in the world at lifting, shifting, linking up, and finding a way to get the job done.
Last night’s pilot rescue is exactly that. Things don’t go clean, especially in denied territory, but our people adjust in real-time, make the calls that matter, and execute under pressure. Seeing the aftermath only makes me more proud of our troops. I know they handled it bravely as it came and still brought our guy home. ❤️

As a retired member of the debauchers, the man is correct in all he says. In my twenties, I would sometimes make it back to the barracks when the sun was already up. Now, if I’m not in bed by ten, there is somethimg completely wrong. And the body noises and problems, all true. Just the other day, I leaned over sorta awkwardly to get something and my body told me, “Hey Chief, you sure you wanna do that?”.
