@katie_honan The Rockaways isn't the suspicious part. It's differentiating it from Queens. My mom grew up in Queens? Which part? Rockaways are just a section of Queens. Anyone who isn't a transplant would know that. Just like how I'm from Jamaica, Queens.

“the Rockaways” is something transplants say 😂 (it’s usually said singularly or a specific neighborhood is mentioned)

I get what he’s saying, but he’s honestly the last person that should be talking given as though it’s still Jay-Z and Nas fans that don’t like each other to this day due to their beef and that was way before “social media stans”.
💎🍾@TheRocSupremacy

Hov said the stans made rap beef too personal because it’s a never ending attempt at destroying the rappers’ lives & n*ggas act like he shot a battle rapper live in Times Square. They got Loaded Lux saying Jay needs to apologize 😂🤣

Jay-Z recently told GQ something that hit me like a ton of bricks. He alluded to a weird right-wing agenda to push negativity in the Black community against our good icons & the more I look around, the more I'm forced to agree. We are living through a coordinated, quiet assault on Black excellence & a bizarre celebration of Black dysfunction. The proof is everywhere, but nobody wants to name it. Kanye man said slavery was a choice, praised Hitler, sided with Nazis, cheapened Harriet Tubman, has sexual assault allegations against him, sided with Diddy etc. And what do we get? Crickets. No TikTok trends, scarce leftist thinkpieces. Just stadium shows selling out. Now flip the script. Jay-Z who built an empire, uplifted his community, bailed out BLM protesters, is suing corrupt police departments, is lobbying for prison reform, has paid people’s debts etc gets vilified daily. When Diddy's case broke, the internet created hashtags blaming Bey & Jay. Called them Diddy's best friends based on industry event photos? Half of Hollywood has those same photos. You won't find Diddy at the Carters' wedding or vow renewal, in Tidal or Roc Nation's inner circle. Hov has rapped about his real best friends, Ty Ty, Emory, his day ones, for decades. He never once mentioned Diddy. But here's the part that should scare you. Once it became clear Jay & Bey weren't front & center in the Diddy case, public interest collapsed. Same with the Epstein files. Those headlines & social media tried so hard to drag Jay & Bey into it but the claims of their names being mentioned turned out to be nothing more than someone chatting about buying tickets to watch Bey in concert. Not an island. Not a PJ. Let that sink in. They had to buy tickets. That means they didn't have Jay or Bey's number or backstage access & weren’t in their inner circle. But the media ran with it anyway because they have conditioned the public to never apply logic when it's the Carters. It's dangerous how conditioned we've become to want the destruction of Black success stories. This is a lynching without a rope. A modern-day warning of know your limits & don't be too successful. And if you are, don't you dare help your people because the moment you do, they'll come for you twice as hard. & the worst part? Fools amongst our own community are playing right along. It's the same logic that lets the racist Morgan Wallen invite Sexyy Redd to his shows. His fans have no natural overlap with her music but she performs to an all white crowd, the most stereotypical caricatured version of a loud, ratchet Black woman, & sinister people push her forward to push an image. They demonize our builders & excuse our destroyers. And too many of us fall for it, not realizing there's an agenda. Watch when Diddy eventually comes out, they'll rehabilitate his image. They'll uplift him & a certain segment of dumbass Black people will somehow blame Jay-Z for his imprisonment. It's already being primed. It's why "Black capitalism" only gets condemned when it's Jay & Bey. Leftists won't write essays about Asian, Arab, or Latino capitalism. Just Black. Just the ones who actually made it out & tried to bring the community with them. There are not enough thinkpieces asking why Kanye's stadium shows are selling out despite his Nazi salute or his support for Diddy or his sexual allegations or his ableism. But there will be five new essays next week about why Beyoncé, a talented hardworking, clean, loving mother and artiste, is secretly a problem. Hov is right & if you can't see the agenda, you're not paying attention. You're just dancing to the music they programmed for you.

@HHistorian50532 @youngdawk92 To sign to Roc-A-Fella all 3 had to agree. Jay, Biggs, Dame. They wanted Kanye to be their in house producer. He wanted to rap. He was looking for a record deal, so all 3 decided to sign him in order not to lose him. Kanye rapping on Blueprint 2 was Jay believing in him.

Yeah Kanye is absolutely not the reason for Jay’s success, what I said was in direct response to him making it seem like Jay’s the only reason people took him serious and gave him a chance. But he conveniently left out that Jay himself never took Kanye serious until Dame gave him a chance. Being deceptive tryna push these narratives is spreading misinformation, I’m not saying he’s completely wrong but there’s a reason he leaves out important context and information while trying to put Jay on a pedestal. Jay played a big role, but like let’s just be fr and tell it how it is.

Jay voted against Kanye signing to a record deal. Dame and Biggs voted to put him out and Dame let Kanye spit a verse on his album. Jay put Kanye on Blueprint 2 following the reception of his performance on the Dream Team album. You can block me, but you can’t rewrite history. Keep living in your own protected bubble.

@marclamonthill @bdotTM Bdot’s argument makes no sense. And still he stumbled into a point. A man calling himself a feminist instead of an ally is performative. Third-Wave feminism is not about equal rights.
