Key reasons OKC wins by 8+:
OKC has been nearly unbeatable at home all season and went 8-0 in the first two playoff rounds. They rarely drop consecutive home games, especially after a tough OT loss where they outscored the Spurs heavily on the bench.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander shot just 7-for-23 in Game 1. Expect a big bounce-back night. OKC’s elite depth (including Jalen Williams’ return) and experience edge give them more weapons than the younger Spurs, who relied heavily on Victor Wembanyama’s heroic 41/24 performance (49 minutes played).
San Antonio endured a grueling 2OT road game and will once again be without their key guard, De’Aaron Fox. Their regular-season head-to-head advantage, which was roughly 4-1 or 5-1, won’t translate as easily in the playoffs. Oklahoma City knows the importance of this game and I predict the Thunder will secure a win by over 10 points in Game #2!
