Farage channeling Oswald Mosley to stir up hatred against minorities. There have been celebrations of Christmas, Chanukah & Diwali in Trafalgar Square. Now its the turn of Britain’s Muslims to celebrate their festival- only to face pure Islamophobic hate speech. Shameful.
Nigel Farage MP@Nigel_Farage

What we witnessed in London at the historic Trafalgar Square, in a country built on Judeo-Christian values, was a group of people attempting dominance over our capital city and our culture. We are not going to surrender everything that was built over centuries and defended at great cost in two world wars for us to be a free, independent nation. The British people will not put up with this any longer — simple as.

@TheGhostSleepi1 Another way of looking at it would be to say it's rather grim that our resident jihadists are directing UK foreign policy.

Labour and Lib Dems have really covered themselves in excrement with this Nick Timothy row. You can gaslight all you like, but if the public can clearly see contrary to what you're saying, then they will take their votes elsewhere with the aim of delivering a sharp comeuppance.

@AngryBootneck The trouble is, making up quotes and falsely attributing them to someone just makes the individual look dishonest and untrustworthy for next time.

Do you know who the worst people in British politics are? I hate to break it to you, but it's you. Yes, you. You complain about incompetent governments who don't deliver, but you'll line up behind any old slop merchant who tells you the problems are easy to fix, the dilemmas are simple, and there's no trade-offs. You applaud them for promising what they cannot deliver (and wouldn't know how), and they churn out slop because you reward them for it, and you never demand better. You let politicians trot out the same slogans and tropes they've been using for decades, and you fall for it every single time. Every single time we get governments who have know knowledge of the policy landscape, who gave zero thought to the second order consequences of their ideas, and know so little about the functioning of government they have civil servants running rings around them - which is just as well since they're the last line of defence against witless political meddling. They might be obstructionist but they're half the reason anything still works. You get this dross because you vote for brands rather than candidates, and you're happy to vote on the basis of vibes over policy, electing people to run the country who can barely run their own organisations. You all whine about "betrayal" after you've projected your hopes on to any passing shyster who says they can get the job done, but the fault is ultimately yours. You allow yourselves to be fobbed off with slop. Politicians don't strive to impress because the bar of approval is set so low - and no matter how lazy and unprepared they are, you'll make endless excuses for them because they sing your favourite hymns. You might think you deserve better, but you don't.

@lucymarionbrown "Could be interpreted as antisemitic" provides a lot of scope. If you go looking for offence, something spurious can nearly always be found these days. Piss-weak stuff from Reform.

George Gilbert@GeorgeGilbertX

Well, that's it then. Reform UK have revoked my membership. Rupert Lowe and Elon were right about them. Having been a member since before even Farage was leader, I have attended Christmas fundraisers with Lee Anderson, I fought their corner in public debates and I even travelled to Coggeshall to give a hand in their successful by-election campaign all after Big Brother, and now they decide to betray me like this over nothing more than alleged comments. Let's not forget that this is the party of: - Nigel Farage, who "engaged in anti-Semitic bullying" when he was a similar age to me. - Zia Yusuf, who liked a tweet about Robert Jenrick calling him a "traitorous zogbot with a Jewish wife and family". - Lee Anderson, who claimed there is no such thing as Islamaphobia.  When it's little old me though, they show you the door. So much for being the party of free speech. Two tier Reform. Previously, I saw a quiet virtue in standing by the leader even if you disagree with them at times. But loyalty is a two way street and now I see the wood for the trees; Reform doesn't give a toss about its members and they will throw you under the bus given half a chance too. I am not the first victim of their disgusting disloyalty and I won't be the last. I hereby offer my services free of charge to canvass and rally for any party challenging Reform, anywhere. One struggle. Get it into your heads that Reform UK is not the solution. If you want genuine reform of this country, you must vote for their biggest rival in your respective division. Hear me out- we’re playing the long game: If Reform UK fly through these council elections they will gain momentum that will frighten people from voting for a proper party that will be the true messiah when it matters more in 2029. Reform UK is a trojan horse of the establishment there to conciliate us into inaction. Don't fall into the trap. We must be strategic, we must be cunning. On May 7th, I will #voteGreen.

Never mind, Keith. In 2029, when the Labour Party begins to stink up the bowels of hell and the country celebrates as if it were VE Day, your political career will have already been buried for three years.
Keir Starmer@Keir_Starmer

I’m proud of our tolerant and diverse country. I’m proud that in Trafalgar Square we celebrate all faiths. That’s British values. The comments from Nick Timothy are shameful. Kemi Badenoch should do the right thing and sack him.

I absolutely was a foreigner when I was in Belgrade (for two weeks). I loved their homogeneous and ordered society. But I didn't claim asylum or try to get citizenship, I just visited, liked it, and left. Besides, English men are not barbarians.

Here on X, disagreeing with a woman is "misogyny", while agreeing with or defending a woman is "simping". Who would be a man just trying to be decent and measured on this platform?
