Perhaps one of my most RW opinions is that GamerGate chuds were actually quite justified in erupting in panicked rage that this person had power in their hobby.

I think the reason the left-wing co-opt of the star fox fandom is floundering as hard as it is, compared to other similar fandoms, is you can tell the majority of new fans from the last decade were likely introduced through furry porn rather than the actual games.

Steven Universe is the ideal boy according to women that hate men. Ben Tennyson is meant to be relatable to actual boys.

I love her design but she does the annoying "amazing at everything" trope and her character having no actual quirks or flaws makes her kinda bland she has too many traits that are just slammed together without thought and theyre all positive. Kinda a reverse stereotype.

@ShadowXLaw1 I actually disagree somewhat I think it makes sense for her coming of age arc to involve that. Especially considering shes japanese and people view marriage and coming of age differently there and look seriously at it earlier.

@e_fosa08 AND we find out in the comics that it didn't even really work because Ozai and his loyalists continued to be a consistent thorn in their side after the war. Zuko almost died multiple times to assassination attempts by people that sought to bring his father back to power.

@e_fosa08 One of the worst written aspects of the whole series was him getting a literal plot device that allowed him to have his cake and eat it too.

Aang was searching for wisdom, but deep down he was also hoping someone would validate the answer he already wanted. Every past Avatar he spoke to Roku, Kyoshi, Kuruk, and Yangchen basically told him the same thing, as the Avatar, his duty to the world comes before his personal beliefs. In the end, Aang found a third path with energybending from the Turtle lion not because the past Avatars were wrong, but because he refused to abandon either his duty or his core beliefs.

The Democrats have been screaming that Jim Crow is back! Just to test it out, I went outside to see if I now have less rights as a black man. I started humming a negro spiritual and set out on my way. Got on a bus. Sat in front. No one said anything to me. Took it one stop and then did the walk of shame back to my truck. Went to a restaurant. Sat at the counter. The nice man behind it asked me if I wanted a menu. I informed him this was just a test and he passed. The look of confusion on his face let me know the Democrats hadn’t informed him I can’t sit at restaurant counters. Looked for separate bathrooms and water fountains. Couldn’t find a single one. Got immediate side eye from an older black woman when I asked her if she’d noticed any separate water fountains or bathrooms. Her answer wasn’t Christian. Tried looking for a freedom march so I could join it and see if I’d get hosed or dogs turned on me. No marches. I did see someone with a Pomeranian dog, though, but it didn’t attack me. So… based on my evidence, Jim Crow is still dead. The Democrats lied.

@e_fosa08 she actually does have a small arc with her dad in the comics where this happens, but i agree it wouldve been nice to see it in the show.

Toph leaving home was basically the end of her relationship with her parents because her arc was about freedom and independence. Her parents loved her but were extremely overprotective because they saw her blindness as weakness and never truly understood who she was. Once Toph escaped and joined Team Avatar, the story focused more on her becoming her own person. Toph never got the emotional closure that characters like Zuko did. Even in The Legend of Korra, you can see how emotionally distant she became with her kids .
