@MrCrowbar622358 understand why—or worse, acted like they didn't notice. So what gives them the right to claim Eren "change or not"?

@MrCrowbar622358 Compare that to S1–S3 Eren. Despite everything he went through, he never lost his optimism or hope for the future. He was always the one encouraging the people around him to keep moving forward. By S4, that part of him was gone. Yet his so-called friends never even tried to -

This is Isayama gaslighting the audience into believing the "Eren has always been evil you just didn't want to accept it!" bullshit. Another cheap rip off from Walter White. No. Eren was never evil. His violence and anger have always been righteous and directed at oppressors.

I keep noticing a pattern from ppl who like a certain pairing, this tendency of calling mikasa “obsessed” and crazy..

@MrCrowbar622358 @lilpumpsuperfan @jexessXIII It doesn't have to be that complex. With future memories, Eren would've known the only way for alliance to catch him was by using the ship. so If he didn't want to be stopped, he could've just call a Colossal crush the port when the Rumbling began, and that would've been the end

@lilpumpsuperfan @jexessXIII There's no way you're this retarded. Eren was eavesdropping on the alliance the entire time. He knew that their plan was to use the ship. Therefore, anyone with an IQ higher than 50, can conclude that they have to inform floch to destroy the boat before they can reach it.

@Shivermetmbrr @MrCrowbar622358 And to make it worse, right after Hange's death, Eren brings the Alliance into the Paths to talk, yet none of them even mentions that Hange was just killed. That also feels incredibly forced and poorly written. It makes no sense that such a major event wouldn't come up at all.

@Shivermetmbrr @MrCrowbar622358 I agree, sorry I wasn't clear. My criticism is about the writing. Having Hange die then immediately revealing Falco can become a bird makes her death feel incredibly forced. I'm not blaming the characters,I just hate yam deliberately wrote it this way to create pointless twist

@SpazzKill_022 @MrCrowbar622358 -introduced a convenient solution. So I'm not criticizing the characters for failing to find another way. I'm criticizing the author's writing and how poorly that plot point was handled.

@SpazzKill_022 @MrCrowbar622358 I know, sorry if I wasn't clear. I meant from a writing perspective. Right after Hange dies covering everyone's escape, then suddenly reveals that Falco can turn into a flying Titan. It feels incredibly forced and cheap, as if Yama wanted Hange to die first and only then -

@MrCrowbar622358 I think the last time was when he trusted Armin to distract Bertholdt but find him burned into a black coal in the end.

@yexger Because from Eren's perspective, they actually already had a discussion before right on the ship, and the alliance just forgot (their memory had been erased). So there is really no need to talk anymore.

@dollf4ngs of "they could have done better by him, but they failed to try."If even such an unusually vulnerable moment from Eren wasn't enough for Mikasa to think or ask why he was asking her that question, then it suggests that no one really took his inner struggle seriously.

@dollf4ngs I'm not saying all the blame should be placed on Eren's friends. But it's not hard to acknowledge that they largely acted as if they didn't notice the struggles he was carrying. However, this isn't a case of "they committed some unforgivable wrong against Eren." it's a case-

the “what am i to you” scene is so good bc it’s one of the few moments where eren seeks connection but goes ab it wrong. he doesn’t tell mikasa that he’s terrified/struggling. he asks her an indirect question that keeps his emotions guarded while hoping mikasa can decode the

@MrCrowbar622358 @Aba54250 Those two things can coexist. The important part is being willing to acknowledge that the ending was badly written in the first place, rather than constantly treating every inconsistency and character derailment as some kind of hidden masterpiece.

@MrCrowbar622358 @Aba54250 Lol, I think he’s just trying to “fix” Eren’s character after that awful ending, not defend yama’s garbage writing .You know there’s no contradiction between admitting the ending was complete shit and arguing what Eren’s character was actually like throughout most of the story-
