This is great. A list of all the products Hacker News thought would never work. Sure, the default to response to ANY project on HN is that it could be copied on a weekend. But this list is _strong_ 🤣

building an ecommerce product while having a SaaS founder audience everyone warned me against it "you're throwing away your distribution. build for your followers" maybe i'm an idiot but building for my current audience feels like locking myself into whoever i was when i got lucky could be cope. we'll see.

You don’t need: • 10k users • 100 features • Startup vibes You need: • 10 people who care • Honest feedback • Consistency Everything else is decoration.

Everybody says “talk to your users.” 🗣️ But nobody tells you how to make them talk. They sign up. Skip onboarding emails. Disappear silently. How are you actually getting users to reply and give real feedback? 😭
