The Board of Supervisors honored the life and legacy of Linda Faye Herring. Linda dedicated her life to caring for children, opening her home & heart to more than 600 children through foster care. Thanks to Four Oaks & Linda Faye Herring's family for accepting the proclamation.

On this Veterans Day, the Board of Supervisors thanks all the veterans for their service. Thank you to Navy 3rd Class Petty Officer Pete Peterson for speaking about his years of service. Peterson is a WW2 Veteran who served 3 years in the Pacific Theater on the USS Seminole.

The Bayertown Road SW bridge over a branch of Picayune Creek will be closed to traffic starting Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025. Work includes complete bridge reconstruction, approach roadway and grading. Weather permitting, construction is anticipated to be completed by February 2026
