@SloopyTexas @sparkygriswaald @Natho369 @GBPolitcs They are abandoning because their is no legal requirements to do it anymore but it does not change the direction customers are likely to go if petrol prices and oil disruption continues.

@lane_d12 @GBPolitcs And that’s the problem one will be able to afford to buy nor run it. Seems like a vibes strategy rather than long term planning. The Itan war is showing Europe that it needs to decouple from oil faster (but with sensible drilling to support the transition).

@GBPolitcs YES 👏 Well done Rolls-Royce … not that I can afford one, but I would definitely rather than have a V12 than go all-electric.

@ShippersUnbound Don’t get it; they spent the past year having a go at Europe, its economy people and now expect support in a war that they didn’t even tell them about. These guys are crazy.

Just spoke to @POTUS about our European allies’ unwillingness to provide assets to keep the Strait of Hormuz functioning, which benefits Europe far more than America. I have never heard him so angry in my life. I share that anger given what’s at stake. The arrogance of our allies to suggest that Iran with a nuclear weapon is of little concern and that military action to stop the ayatollah from acquiring a nuclear bomb is our problem not theirs is beyond offensive. The European approach to containing the ayatollah’s nuclear ambitions have proven to be a miserable failure. The repercussions of providing little assistance to keep the Strait of Hormuz functioning are going to be wide and deep for Europe and America. I consider myself very forward-leaning on supporting alliances, however at a time of real testing like this, it makes me second guess the value of these alliances. I am certain I am not the only senator who feels this way.

It is a disgrace that American children and families are being defrauded by people who hate this country. I'm proud to lead the Administration's task force on fraud and I'm thankful to President Trump for entrusting this task to me.

@goldenhelmet01 @RafHM look at what is happening in the UK now that wages are going higher (due to higher minimum wage & taxes) companies are shedding jobs. The UK is a low wage economy and Brexit killed the closest source of that. Companies will always seek labour arbitrage rather than pay high wages.

It was nothing but a big lie from the beginning. Native workers have always done those jobs historically. The labor shortage claim is misleading because if wages, rose natives would do the jobs….immigration keeps wages low….so that need is a function of wage levels not worker scarcity. Natives always did the jobs before labor markets were altered by a big influx of immigrant supply.

For the majority of British voters, Brexit was NOT about the economy or sovereignty It was about immigration "Take Back Control" meant REDUCING immigration The Tories BETRAYED us all by importing 4.8 MILLION migrants in just 3 years Never Forgive. Never Forget. #Boriswave

@goldenhelmet01 @RafHM The people got lied to. The people didn’t realize that EU immigrants are mainly short term migrants and to keep the economy ticking over the replacement will be long term migrants. There was also Hk and Ukraine immigrants

@RafHM The problem is voting Brexit in the first place. It was so obvious that an economy ran on cheap immigrant labour will source it elsewhere.

@MatildaMinter More like farage. This was entirely predictable for an economy that ran on cheap EU labour no longer having access to that labour.

@ramonagusta No ... after Brexit nothing changed. It was after the Lockdowns, sudden Spike and not just in the UK, but everywhere. WHY ? I don't know. Perhaps the central bankers in the West discussed the rising inflation in early 2021 And THEY decided to bring in the brown. I am not sure
