Sound analysis of the recent announcement to create a buffer zone in southern Lebanon. It all boils down to the inability for Israel (across the political spectrum) to accept a reality that Hezbollah can launch an October 7th invasion into Israel. From Israel’s perspective the opportunity was given to the government of Lebanon disarm Hezbollah, but they failed. We’ve seen over the last month Hezbollah launched hundreds of missiles and rockets at the people living mostly in northern Israel. This is an unbearable reality for Israel, this is what needs to be changed.
