The Director General Health Services, Prof. @olaro_charles witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between @MbararaUST and @emergency_ngo, the Children's Surgical Hospital in Entebbe. The signed MOU seeks to establish an educational collaboration for health professionals training between @MbararaUST and @emergency_ngo. This agreement aims to support post-graduate medical education and skill development in the fields of paediatric surgery, anaesthesia, and paediatrics and related medical disciplines. #MOHatWork

Health Minister, @JaneRuth_Aceng has officially launched the Uganda Population- Based HIV Impact Assessment (UPHIA) 2025 to gather information on the progress and impact of the current national HIV epidemic response efforts to guide further interventions and close existing gaps. Additionally, for the first time, UPHIA will seek to understand the burden of Non-Communicable Diseases (high blood pressure, high blood sugar and obesity) among the general population and people living with HIV. #MOHatWork

Glad to have officiated at the closure of a four day workshop for Health Workers from 12 high volume Points of Entry in Uganda. The workshop focused on building their capacity in mpox response and management of other public health emergencies! @AfricaCDC @MinofHealthUG
