I had to write something.
“The gospel gives this couple freedom from the crushing weight of gendered performance, inviting them instead into a loving, dynamic partnership under the single, perfect authority of King Jesus.”

Josh is making the claim here that the best way to ensure church growth is elect right-wing candidates.
But what kind of church growth is tied to right-wing governments? The answer is simple: Christian nationalist and Christofascist churches.
We’ve actually seen this before. The Reich Church grew rapidly throughout Germany in the early 1930s as more and more members of the Nazi Party were elected.
Spoiler alert… that didn’t turn out so well.

WARNING:⚠️
Oof. With shame, I remember writing stuff like this.
Similar advice I’d heard was, “Never raise imperfections with your husband. Pray and let the Holy Spirit do the work of conviction. Pray. Pray and Pray some more.”

"...wives can embrace the imperfect ways their husbands lead them now, knowing their leadership is just a taste of the glory to come when we’re with Jesus, our perfect Bridegroom, forever." (Lauren Washer)
