@JonAshman2 @CReid5150 Never had an issue with mine 30k hard miles and not even a misfire. Only issue I had when new was a tank breather issues which swelled up the tank and was replaced under warranty. I’ve heard tales, but always a mate of a mate ….

Anyway thinking this might be the last season on a sports bike currently looking at KTM 1290 super dukes anybody got 1 any good ?

@JonAshman2 Yep. Had one since the Gen 2 came out , when my old bones/fat body would no longer fit on a proper sports bike. Toured it, track day’d it and daily’d it. (Even did a bit of unplanned offroading on it) Best bike I’ve ever owned.

@beckers1000 Not that keen on the looks if I’m honest . Mates just bought a MT10 Jesus it’s fast 😬. Fancy something different regarding engine only owned inline 4s . Plenty of unmarked police your way Sunday

@markgoodall9 The wrists are fine I ride on the balls of my feet so it’s my hips and lower back that suffer . It’s already got adjustable rear sets .

@JonAshman2 Is it painful? If so there are alternatives.i came to the same decision when my wrists started to really hurt. I did a yoke and handlebar conversion and now it’s like a sports tourer, no pain same power ,

@JonAshman2 I might consider a superduke too! I rode the old & newer models & found the newer handled loads better, the old shape needs lots of input to turn into a corner. Comfort as I recall is good but would want a refresher to compare to my gixxer to be sure it would be the right move 👍

@JonAshman2 Yeh it’s coming to an end I think mate My mental health and physical health are not great and one certainly encourages the other 😳 37 yrs as a bricklayer has more than taken its toll on me I need both knees replaced 😔
