@basebaldy I’d be surprised if there was any noticeable change. In the inner circle, things often seem very severe and damaging. But the reality is a large majority the mainstream poker player population pay little attention or follow any poker news. They just want to play.
English

I’ll be curious if there is any noticeable dropoff post Milly Maker (due to not paying out players).
While I personally can’t afford to pure boycott, I will be playing a lot less at WSOP until they get paid.

@Brentity @TriNet @PokerAtlas Look, I respect you and your feedback. I don’t particularly appreciate your approach, but that’s ok. Like I said, I’ll be happy to talk or meet if you’d like. You seem like a good guy with good intentions. Thanks for being articulate and methodical.
English

@TriNet My company is now in collections with the state of Oregon after 4 months of Trinet “trying” to solve a problem that Trinet created, with countless “we will handle” assurances from our rep. This is potentially damaging to my company and needs to be resolved immediately.
English

@Brentity @TriNet @PokerAtlas I sure hope when you’re consulting you make an effort to understand underlying revenue and related expenditures before offering any financial or strategic advice. You certainly didn’t attempt that before putting PA on blast which is odd since you understand business.
English

@Brentity @TriNet @PokerAtlas You said we should raise our fees to casinos. I’m asking if you mean fees for the small % of paying customers or the much larger % of non-paying properties. I trust you understand my point in asking the question. Great for Atlas? Yes. Great for players? Yes. Expensive? Yes.
English

@Brentity @TriNet @PokerAtlas Ironically I probably have more respect for Bravo than anyone outside of their company. They are pioneers and I have always praised them for their accomplishments. Poker isn’t an easy or profitable business. But our companies are very different in what we do/offer as a whole.
English

@Brentity @TriNet @PokerAtlas Why do you want to publish anything? Are you trying to understand more of my strategic reasoning (which I’m offering to share)? Or are you trying to build a follower base and be some kind of leader/influencer? I offered to talk/meet, but I’m not offering to aid in any agenda.
English

@Brentity @TriNet @PokerAtlas Of course you aren’t the only one. But let’s be honest, humans don’t like change and we as a society generally assume that businesses shouldn’t raise their prices in fairness to consumers. But there’s usually rational reasoning behind such changes despite the complaints.
English

@Brentity @TriNet @PokerAtlas I can tell you’re a very smart, analytical, business-minded person. But with all due respect, I don’t believe you have a strong understanding of this business or gaming industry economics. I would be more than happy to chat offline or over a meal or drink if you’d like. Respect.
English

@Brentity @TriNet @PokerAtlas You can still join the list. You can still see waitlist names. All live info is still accessible.
So what functionality actually disappeared? 🤷🏻♂️
I’ll agree with you on sub nagging but that’s outside of your no-longer-free claims.
English

@Brentity @TriNet @PokerAtlas I actually really appreciate and respect your critical thinking because your approach is spot on. But I strongly disagree with your foundational comparisons which aren’t comparable/rational/logical…and nor is your seeming understand of casino economics.
English

@Brentity @TriNet @PokerAtlas Out of curiosity, are you referring to the properties that do pay us? Or are you referring to the 500+ casinos and poker rooms that we publish accurate and up to date information on without any compensation from whatsoever?
English

@Brentity @TriNet @PokerAtlas And thank you for taking the time to explain. It’s much more productive than just baseless claims and hate messages.
But please tell me your understanding of what features were free and no longer are? I think the actual problem is that you are mistaken of what changed.
English

@PhilGalfond @PayPal They also robbed my company of money by confiscating funds without warning or explanation (without merit). Called & spoke to customer service many times, only to have literally ever call disconnect. That was in 2018. My company & I are still banned from PayPal & Venmo.
English

PSA to new business owners:
I took $117k in payments via @PayPal in July.
All $117k is still on hold — a precaution for a new biz with big transactions.
I tried to refund someone & they wouldn’t let me (lol?)
I’m sure I’ll get my $ someday but this would kill some businesses.
