Hogs have been outshot 31-19 but have taken two games in Milwaukee despite not having won at UW-Panther Arena in the regular season. RFD will look to advance with a Game Three win at the BMO Wednesday night.

The IceHogs are minutes away from a 2-0 series lead over Milwaukee in their Central Division Semifinal. RFD up 6-1 on the Admirals in the waning minutes. Joey Anderson leads the way with a natural hat trick.

Rockford and the Admirals face off again Saturday. Game Two of the series gets underway at 6:00 p.m.

The IceHogs pull off another Game One stunner tonight in Milwaukee, rallying in the third period from two goals down, then finishing the comeback with a Colton Dach game winner in OT. The 3-2 win gives the Hogs a 1-0 advantage in the best-of-five Central Division Semifinal.

Here's something interesting...since being traded to MIL, former Hogs forward Ryder Rolston totaled 31 points (13 G, 18 A) in 57 games with the Admirals.

A surprising Game One win at Allstate Arena was the catalyst to advancing past the Wolves. Does Rockford have another stunner under its hat in Milwaukee?

On the other hand, the Hogs have already overachieved by besting the Wolves to get to this point. Vets like Gerry Mayhew, Zach Sanford, and Joey Anderson helped stun Chicago in the play-in series. Drew Commesso sported a 0.46 GAA and a .985 save percentage in the two wins.

Tall order for the piglets. The Ads took seven of the ten games between the teams in the regular season. MIL is decidedly the better team on paper. Matt Murray is one of the AHL's best goalies. They have home ice and are 5-0 vs RFD at UW Panther Arena this season.

The IceHogs will be in Milwaukee tomorrow night opening their Central Division Semifinal against the Admirals. RFD advanced to this position via a sweep of Chicago Wolves in last week's play-in series.

IceHogs officially make it a series in Rosemont with a 2-1 OT win over the Chicago Wolves. Artyom Levshunov with a PP game-winner at 11:00 of the extra session. RFD leads the best-of-three play-in 1-0. Hogs host CHI Friday night at the BMO.

Rockford is currently on a three-game win streak as a three-game weekend looms. The Hogs host Iowa tonight and Lehigh Valley Saturday before sliding into Rosemont for a Sunday date with the Wolves.

@hogthought If the desire is still to get the kids meaningful spring action, then I'd expect a difference-maker or two to come aboard. Maybe a veteran goalie?

@JonFromi Would hope the hawks wouldn’t decimate this RFD roster. They’ve treaded water for awhile, but the roster is still talented/young +shows extreme signs of life at points, but have been snake bitten in some close games. Ahl central division playoffs being top 5 of 7 helps also.

Vets like Athanasiou, Brett Seney, and Zach Sanford are free agents at season's end and could be throw-ins on any moves the Blackhawks make. Cole Guttman, who leads RFD in scoring and will likely be a Group 6 UFA, could also be a piece that is moved.

With the trade deadline approaching and Rockford treading water in the fifth postseason spot in the Central Division, this roster could look vastly different in a couple of weeks.

The Hogs leaned on veteran offense this weekend, not discounting a four-point effort by Marcel Marcel on Friday night. Andreas Athanasiou and Joey Anderson led the way in Saturday's win.

The Hogs now enter a home-friendly stretch, with five of the next six games at the BMO Center. First up to visit RFD is Milwaukee, who comes to RFD on Tuesday night.

Can RFD turn things around with 28 games remaining in the regular season? Maybe...but a lot needs to happen, especially on defense and in net.

The IceHogs are in fifth place in the Central Division, ten points behind the fourth-place Wolves. They've lost seven of their last ten games. Ben Gaudreau was recalled from Indy to back up Drew Commesso in net Saturday. Commesso left the game in the second period.

RFD dropped both games in Texas this weekend, 6-1 on Friday and 4-3 last night, in which the Hogs let a 3-1 lead slip away.
