Captain America and Black Panther, Penguin Classics Marvel Collection. Despite the cover condition these books were a great deal at two bucks each. 2/2

My LCS had several long boxes of books at $2 each for FCBD. Most of it was the usual junk, stuff that flopped, beat up library books, etc etc. I found some gems, however, including these three from the Penguin Classics Marvel Collection, Amazing Spider-man, Captain America and Black Panther. All three have pretty beat covers, but the insides are pristine, and a few of the stories included aren’t represented elsewhere in my library (like this Spidey adjacent short story from Strange Tales #97, June 1962). If anything the forwards and introductions are nice adds, and the story selections are interesting. 1/2 👇
