Belgian authorities acted on the complaint under a new 2024 law that allows prosecution for international crimes, even with no direct connection to Belgium. We must not accept these migrants from Afghanistan in such vast and unsustainable numbers. Resettle them in a safe, third party country closer to Afghanistan- geographically, socially and culturally.

Britain is a mess, on various fronts. But if you can't see, despite that, we're still very fortunate to live here - relative to most of the rest of the world - you need to get some perspective. There are plenty of countries where even tweeting about civil war wouldn't be safe.
