Resilience is not just about bouncing back after challenging setbacks. It is also a daily practice: getting out of bed; showing up; and putting one foot in front of the other, moving in the direction of what matters.

After 3 weeks of teaching 3rd year PT students, there’s one glaring theme of the class so far. They need more practice coaching people through exercises. If you are a young aspiring PT, get out and coach people before you graduate, your future patients will thank you.

Practice being a good person, and you’re more likely to become a good person. Make a habit of being a selfish, egomaniacal asshat, and you’ll most likely succeed as well. You get to choose how you react to circumstances, and who you’ll become.

I look forward to the day when things like coach health, work/life harmony, burnout, career security, equality of opportunity, safety, compensation, contracts, representation & retirement are as passionately & routinely discussed in S&C as squat depth, Olympic lifts & programming

If your gas tank was empty and you only had enough cash to fill 1/4 tank, you wouldn't keep it empty just because you couldn't fill it all the way. Same goes for workouts. If you can't do an hour, cool. Do 15 minutes. Something is always better than nothing.
