The Director of National Intelligence says that an imminent threat is whatever the president says is an imminent threat …. But nowhere in this statement, does she say that she agrees that Iran posed an imminent threat — or that the intelligence supports such a conclusion.

Donald Trump was overwhelmingly elected by the American people to be our President and Commander in Chief. As our Commander in Chief, he is responsible for determining what is and is not an imminent threat, and whether or not to take action he deems necessary to protect the safety and security of our troops, the American people and our country.  The Office of the Director of National Intelligence is responsible for helping coordinate and integrate all intelligence to provide the President and Commander in Chief with the best information available to inform his decisions.  After carefully reviewing all the information before him, President Trump concluded that the terrorist Islamist regime in Iran posed an imminent threat and he took action based on that conclusion.

After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today. I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby. It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC. May God bless America.

The shoes feature a number 9 (Patel is the 9th FBI director), a Punisher skull (a vigilante killer from Marvel Comics), and his personal logo (K$H). The backs of the shoes show the FBI motto: "Fidelity, Bravery, Integrity". Patel was photographed wearing them at an FBI Academy event that featured UFC fighters.

Russia is providing Iran with satellite intelligence on U.S. military targets and American service members — helping Tehran strike Americans in the Middle East. At the same time, President Zelensky and Ukraine are offering their battle-tested expertise to help the U.S. and its allies defend against Iranian drones. It’s not complicated. In a lengthy phone interview, President Trump marveled at the success of the military operation against Iran and expressed no concern about what comes next. "I hope you are impressed," he said to me. "How do you like the performance? I mean, Venezuela is obvious. This might be even better. How do you like the performance?" I said nobody questions the success of the military operation, the concern is what happens next. "Forget about next," he answered. "They are decimated for a 10-year period before they could build it back."

In a lengthy conversation just now, President Trump hit back at Tucker Carlson who called the Iran war “absolutely disgusting and evil.” "Tucker has lost his way,” Trump told me. “I knew that a long time ago, and he's not MAGA.  MAGA is saving our country. MAGA is making our country great again. MAGA is America first, and Tucker is none of those things. And Tucker is really not smart enough to understand that."

The White House says charter flights for Americans seeking to get out of the Middle East are in the works: From @WhiteHouse: "We have identified approx 1600 Americans asking to come home, and we are chartering flights as we speak. For operational security reasons, we don’t want to publicize when these flights are taking off as Iran has obviously shown a willingness to hit Americans and casualties."
