Not sure that the recent performances are related to the AI contract situation. We had to stop conceding 2-3 goals a game, so changed the set up a bit, which has worked. However we’re also now scoring less…. Maybe we can’t have it all 🤷‍♂️. On to Utd. #afcb 🍒

Desperately want AI to stay, and if he is, it doesn’t seem logical not to announce it (assuming the negotiation isn’t too complex). So fearing the worst, but also understand the logic not to announce it whilst the season is still “alive”. #afcb Hoping I’m wrong. Utd up next🍒

Managed to see most of the recent performances and keeping the unbeaten run going without playing well (2nd half v Villa the exception). Noticeable (to me at least) that Eva and Kroupi both appear to be really struggling. Will need both to step up if we’re going to push on #afcb

On the plus side, kept the unbeaten run going, some winnable games on the horizon, a rare clean sheet and 8th (after earlier not winning a game for 2 months) 😁 🍒🍒 #afcb

@korsikoff @GuyN72 I think Eva always provides options, and that run down the channel is a good “out ball” for us normally. If Tav is ready to start now pretty sure he’ll become the 10, so now can choose Eva or Kroupi up top. I don’t think Kroupi is strong enough yet, but worth a run maybe #afcb

@JonMiles67 @GuyN72 Not sure Eva’s movement is really that great at all. I would much prefer to see Kroupi up top.

Tav has done more in attack in 30 secs than Adli did all match. #afcb

@korsikoff @JonMiles67 @GuyN72 I've been a staunch defender of him for a while, but I'm starting to wonder if he needs a little bit out of the firing line But I've no idea who could step up, as I think Kroupi needs not to be relied on, and Enes just isn't there yet

@GuyN72 @korsikoff But that was what was really noticeable today. Normally his movement into “the channels” gives an option to Senesi, Hill and others for a long pass. Today the movement was 0. Him and Kroupi gave very little to help the person on the ball

@korsikoff @JonMiles67 Lumping the ball at Eva from 50 yards vs 2 huge CB’s wasn’t our greatest tactic.

Well that was a tough watch at times….#afcb. Weirdly I thought there were some decent performances from most. Kroupi and Eva stood out from the rest, no movement, no runs into the channels, no attempt to get behind them. Offering no options to people on the ball. Disappointing

@korsikoff @GuyN72 Agree, about Kroupi. Will always pop up with a goal when playing there, but it’s really not natural for him and his passing isn’t good enough (yet). Normally Curial that Eva does “too much” selfless work. Today felt like somebody told him to stand next to the CB all game…….

@DavidCockram It was truly awful. The lack of movement ahead of the ball was unbelievable. For 75 mins Eva and Kroupi were really, really disappointing……… Tav offered more threat in 15 mins….. #afcb

@korsikoff I think A.I loves Tav and Eva, so need big offers, and would need £££s to upgrade them tbh…… (I’ve had enough “freshening up” last 12 months 😁) Scott’s an interesting one, like him, but think he’d be even better in a team with more possession, so a £60m offer could land? #afcb

@JonMiles67 I think you have to constantly evolve & freshen things up. Like you, I imagine Senesi and Unal will go. I fear that there will be some interest in Scott and Kroupi. I also think we may look to move on from Eva, subject to receiving a decent fee. Tav also could be gone.

So almost safe, and still in the reckoning to challenge for a European spot. After Brentford away I would never have believed it tbh. Promising signings secured, what do we think about likely ins and outs this Summer? Senesi and Unal out, replacements in, and then stick? #afcb

@AFCBOldgit @RileyByron37817 I hope so🤞. I think You’re right though that we’ll be “in the mix”. Will be surprised if there’s a big points difference between 7th and 15th at the end of the season. We’re definitely still in that conversation 🍒🍒 #afcb

@RileyByron37817 @JonMiles67 I only see us getting better over the rest of the season, I don't think many teams will be looking forwards to playing us! I'm certainly looking up, not down now. It doesn't mean we'll get Europe, but I don't think we'll be far off #afcb

I’d take 7 because that will be enough to keep us up, and it would be nice to enjoy April and May without that stress tbh. But 12 should be possible and I think that would keep us in European contention. 🍒🍒 #afcb

Went to Brentford game and came away really worried about the level of performance, and the fixtures coming up, and Semenyo leaving, and all the injuries. And, as last year, when down to the bare bones, needing the whole squad, needing points.. Guess what! Top mentality 🍒 #afcb
