Some personal news…I'm so honored to share that I’ve been selected for their 2025 journalism fellowship by @niemanfdn. I’ll be taking a leave from @mprnews to be part of this impressive cohort of journalists at @harvard, where I’ll be focusing on the policing of poverty. (1)

The size of the @nytimes newsroom: Publisher AG Sulzberger says it’s now 2300 journalists, doubled from 10 years ago.

This is so bleak: a metro news editor ridiculing a promising job applicant for saying she wants to write her own articles rather than letting AI do so. We got into this business because we love both talking to people and digging AND then writing up what we learned. It's both.
