One of the poker worlds favorites @AllenKessler is 5 handed going for the most prestigious title in all of poker. Can he get the 💍 💍 💍? Let’s go Allen!
English

@JonShoreman @joecarlsonshow Yes for .1% of people. Saying it the way you said it I think might give the impression it’s not all that hard.

Just a reminder that gambling can be incredibly addicting and destructive to your financial future, family stability, and relationships.
It has a negative future expected return, meaning you are more likely to lose money the longer you do it.
Very few major podcasts, networks, and personalities will be critical of the industry because the gambling and prediction market sponsor almost everyone and their dog.
I'm not sponsored by a gambling company, I never will be. So I'll say it plainly: Don't do it. Put your money in productive cash-producting assets. Buy stocks, buy real estate. Don't gamble.
English

@jeremyausmus @joecarlsonshow There are many forms of gambling other than poker that can be beaten, including most casino games. Your comment implies poker is the only one, which is grossly inaccurate.

Funny how many colleagues of mine (pro poker players) are saying the exact same thing. It’s wild how it’s suddenly pushed by everyone. This def can’t be good for society. I’ve seen a lot of people lose it all. I have a pokervlog and I think I’m going to start addressing that most people in poker (which can actually be beaten unlike other forms of gambling) will lose long term . I don’t want to be painting a false picture of what it actually is.

@AllenKessler @PokerPaparazzi @WSOP You hold the record for the most TORSE wins EVER! No one in the entire history of poker has won more TORSE tournaments than Allen. This is truly amazing and shows what a great mix player you really are.

@ThePokerBoss If you were dealt 2 to a royal, and drew 3 cards, and hit 5 royals you would say you hit 5 royals. Therefore, the correct answer is 100.
English

@JonathanLittle I would ask John Duthie how he keeps his clothes so immaculate and uncreased during long gruelling poker sessions.
English

@RealKidPoker @tritonpoker WSOP need to catch up and implement this!
English

I’ve been wanting to see this implemented for a long time, an innovative game changer for poker.
Shot clocks help, but chess clocks are a much more fair and equitable system.
Bravo 👏
Triton ONE Poker@TritonOnePoker
At Triton Poker Series, the game is always evolving. The Triton Tempo was introduced to keep the action moving and the pressure high at the table. Watch as Luca Vivaldi walks through the Triton Tempo and how the system keeps players on the clock.

@junglemandan How long are you putting off visiting poker rooms to negotiate lower rake? So far it's been a year.
English

Guys I've been putting off re the justice system, very busy with tangible things where I actually get paid and I need full focus and a project manager to make this happen.
Remember I don't collect a dollar from this stuff and it's not easy at all to convince people to do the right thing.
It's also need easy to confront or out friends.
A couple guys outting - cryptkeeper (if he's not on the list yet) and an AJ as a dispute he refuses to resolve

Online WSOP bracelets: should they exist?
I've always thought a different bracelet system made a lot of sense. Why are we giving the same bracelet to someone who wins a $400, 300-person field that only 5 states can participate in, as we do to someone who takes down a $100k live high roller?
I think online should go to silver bracelets or something. I don't think this will ever happen because it might hurt their bottom line, but I think most players would prefer it.

Where do you think this belongs on the @PokerGOTour?
My thoughts are either the PLO Series while registration is open, or something more gimmicky like a bounty series or some stand-alone gambly series where we also include Run It Twice buttons and pay significantly less places (5% maybe?)
Jeremy Ausmus@jeremyausmus
Today at @PokerGOTour they are allowing live straddles for the first time I've ever heard of. I've always thought it was silly to not allow them as they are allowed in cash games and I really don't see much harm. It's a very little thing but another way PGT listens to players and makes changes accordingly. Do you think this is a good idea and should be allowed in tournaments everywhere?
English

@jeremyausmus @PokerGOTour So in the hands you saw that allowed it, what % of the time did someone do it?
English

@JonShoreman @PokerGOTour I saw 2 rounds in first 100 minutes. Not allowed after first 4 (I think) levels

@junglemandan What progress has been made on your promise of 3/1/2025 to visit poker rooms around the country to negotiate lower rake?
It's been a year. You've had plenty of time.

@seanperrywins Posing in front of cash has to be the least elegant thing a rich man can do
English

@DColpoys23 @PokerGOTour it's helping some people? I guess lowering SPR when oop but it's gotta be a net negative for nearly everyone?
English

@jeremyausmus @PokerGOTour Gotta be dumb to put the straddle on in a tourney.
When I first played tourneys in the UK in the 1980s it was allowed. No one did it.

Far from "a pure flip"
Assuming all suits are out AsTc v 7h7d
You are 44.74% to win
If no rake, you are calling $197 to win $402 which returns you just less than $179
And that is best case scenario
If there is rake, or he has better, your return is worse.
Even if you have both his suits covered, your EV less than $183
-EV call for sure.

Updated post:!
I was playing 2/3 at @HUSTLERCASINOLA and guy from the button shoves 200$. Folds around to me and I have A8.
I say “if you have a pair I’ll fold but if you don’t I’ll snap call” he says “I don’t want to decide for you, you pick”.
I thought his range was pretty wide here, a lot of low pairs + broadways that don’t want to play post. I discard TT-AA because I didn’t expect him to show up with premiums often given sizing + dynamic. I also block combinations with A.
So I call.
He shows pocket 7’s, I said ok I have 2 overs and the flop comes
A84
I tell the table I have 2 pair and the table cheers
The turn is a 7
I yell painnnnnn
But the river is an A!!!
The table cheers again and I joke and say “guys I have 84” it gets awkward… and then I turn over A8 and everyone cheers and poor guy walks to the atm to give me more cat dollars.
The table was shocked I called that but I said no game no future. Shout out to the players there who said they recognized me from twitter :p
