He'll do it next week.

Chris Wood is only 13 goals away from equalling Didier Drogba’s all time PL goals… 🤯

@MQVius @SteveGrant1983 Just holding receipts, as the kids would say. It’s easy to criticise.
English

@MQVius And a centre forward, apparently they have one of those now
English

@WestHam_Central “But Moyes didn’t play good football.” Your club will never learn.
English

@David_Ornstein @TheAthleticFC £68m?? So we got Mbeumo for £71m and he is 10x better player than him.
English

🚨 Arsenal reach agreement in principle with Crystal Palace to sign Eberechi Eze. Deal worth around expired £68m release clause - matching what #THFC were ready to pay. Personal terms close + 27yo plays for #CPFC on Thurs before #AFC medical @TheAthleticFC nytimes.com/athletic/65650…

Mikel Arteta is under pressure this season, but I think Ruben Amorim would be ecstatic if he could replicate what the Spaniard has done at Arsenal so far.
RA has spoken about being at the club for 20yrs, he needs to make sure he’s there in 20 weeks.

@talkSPORT This radio station is obsessed. If it was a human you would get a restraining order.
English

@NwaoduahC @Tripple____M He isn’t 2-3 years younger though. If you think we can’t find a player who can give us something more, something different, the extra 2% we need (Rodrygo, Eze, Leao), then I’m surprised.
English

@JonWatkinsAt7 @Tripple____M The question is who is the better player that has a better goal and assist ratio that he has. If he was 2-3years younger, I would not want him sold at all.

@MagpieMediaX It was such a shame this was a puff piece with Neville doing the “interview”, as a strong and indi journo would have totally unpicked and challenged Ratcliffe’s comments. Instead they just float by.
English

Since this interview, #MUFC have spent:
£65m on Sesko
£65m on Mbeumo
£62m on Cunha
…over £190m on three players, after finishing 15th in the league last year.
Ratcliffe sacked 200 staff members just two months ago as a “cost-cutting initiative.” 🤮
English

@_tjh96 Great point this. Football (Sky in particular) seems to think we want playground arguments and “bantz” from ex-players trying to score a point against other teams. While other sports (cricket in particular) deliver high-quality insights, genuine analysis and intriguing viewpoints
English

Cricket has the likes of Nasser Hussain, Michael Atherton and Stuart Broad
Darts has Wayne Mardle, Jon Part and Mark Webster
Football has Roman Kemp, Big Zuu and Rory Jennings.

Roman Kemp will be the host of Sky Sports News' ‘Premier League Friday’ show, gearing up for Sky's new groundbreaking partnership with the Premier League 💪
English

@Tonali_FPL Oh you don’t understand how negotiation works. I’d bet my house that Liverpool will go back in for him. You’re being played like a fiddle.
English

@SkySportsPL This show should be called “Reading out tweets from Ornstein and Romano”. Fucking he’ll.
English

@henrywinter Anything about the PIF involvement with Clearlake Henry? Or does that not fit the narrative?

Fine art without the right application: the skilful Joao Felix was once sold for £113m, won titles in Portugal and Spain but failed to listen to experienced coaches (Simeone, Poch etc), probably looks great in highlights’ reels, negligible contribution out of possession, career drifted and now offloaded by Chelsea to Al-Nassr. At 25.
Congrats to Chelsea for negotiating initial £26m which could potentially rise to £43m, recouping what they paid. Plenty of skill, plenty of riches banked but sad and shocking career decline. Still a Portugal international (9 in 45) but in the club desert now.
Wasted his chance at Chelsea. 4 in 20 on loan in 2023 (£9m loan fee for 6 months). 7 goals in 20 last season, 4 of which came against Morecambe and Noah. Actually finished last season ok on loan at AC Milan (£5m loan fee for 6 months) scoring in his last 2 games. But now off the elite club radar. Injuries intervened at times but this is all down to Felix. Pity. Because the skill was very clear early on at Benfica. A cautionary tale of wealth and waste.
