@ueberdruss Not sure if this helps, but Reitter's forthcoming translation renders 'Produktivkraft' (sg) as 'productive power' and 'Produktivkräfte' (pl) as 'productive forces.' I haven't looked systematically, but Aveling and Fowkes seem to have used 'productive power(s)' in the latter case.

returning briefly to ask the marxologists: why is Produktivkraft rendered as productive force but Arbeitskraft as labour power? why a different word in english when it's the same in german? (and yes, one does read labour force and productive power occasionally, but it's rare)
