@arinewman Ari, being an entrepreneur is about going for it. Failure is always in your mind and great ideas might fail right now. But great operators will find a way. I’ve said it a million times, “let the numbers be the bad guy”. Operate with intention.

@mwalsh I’ve experienced this first hand and I totally agree.

Do not take money from a VC who hasn’t run a company for a few years / period. It won’t work out. I’m in deals with a couple and they’re useless. All they do is drain energy / never help. 💯 of the time.

It takes 50 hrs to become casual friends with someone. 90 hrs to reach “friend” status, and 200 hrs to be close friends… so you might as well start somewhere!

There’s a huge alpha to picking only two or three people to talk to at a party. You can actually have a substantive conversation instead of just exchanging the factuals of life (name, job, etc.) that you won’t remember with many people.
