We have proposed a bilateral agreement to Germany on drones – a Drone Deal – covering various types of drones, missiles, and software for modern defense, and our teams are beginning concrete work. Our experience can be integrated into the European security system, and our current cooperation with countries in the Middle East and the Gulf – as they face constant attacks – proves that our experience and our proposals, our Drone Deals are the most effective. We also have an agreement on a new contribution from Germany to our drone production. From a joint press conference with Friedrich Merz (3/3).

Today’s meeting with @bundeskanzler Friedrich Merz was special and substantive. We focused specifically on how to make our efforts even more active and stronger. Before the bilateral talks, we saw seven types of drones produced at our joint enterprises – six aerial and one ground-based. This is a significant result of our cooperation, and it is important that there will be more. Today, we have new agreements on cooperation – ten in total – across the most important areas. I thank Germany. Germany is a key leader in supporting Ukraine and protecting lives – it is Germany that ranks number one in Europe in terms of assistance to our defense. We all see how geopolitical sentiments can shift and how much depends on Europe’s ability to stand up for itself – for its way of life and its values. Importantly, Germany remains strong, remains committed, and is truly capable of defending the interests of Europe and Europeans.

🇺🇦 PRESSURE DIDN’T BREAK HIM Through war, pressure, and uncertainty..he never stepped back. Not just resilience. This is Volodymyr Zelensky 🇺🇦 Leadership under fire isn’t speeches, it’s decisions with consequences. Staying in Kyiv in the first weeks when evacuation was on the table set the tone. Since then it’s been constant adaptation. Military, political, diplomatic. Holding internal cohesion while managing external support across dozens of countries.

We also have experience in guaranteeing maritime security – objectively, the most current in the world. No one else has carried out missions like Ukrainians have in the Black Sea. When people talk about security in the Strait of Hormuz, it is often a theoretical discussion. Those who speak about it have not conducted such operations themselves. Ukrainians have. We have fought an enemy fleet, air strikes, and naval mines – we have been through all of it. And if partners offer us cooperation on equal footing, Ukraine can help. Our naval drones, Sea Baby, Magura, and Sargan, are well-known, and this is Ukraine’s export offering too. As is our artillery, which we produce at the largest scale in Europe. As are our shells, which are now growing in numbers. As is our armor, which becomes more effective every year. All of this is delivered by our defense industry – our defense industry professionals, Ukrainian arms makers. I thank everyone involved in this. In production halls, design bureaus, laboratories, test ranges, in production and repair – every day working for Ukraine. A strong Ukraine because it can defend itself. Modern, because it is changing the rules of the game. A Ukraine that matters because it can help others, and a Ukraine that is, in many respects, indispensable. Response and recovery efforts are ongoing following Russia’s overnight attack. Nearly 300 attack drones, most of them “shaheds,” and 50 missiles of various types, a significant share of them ballistic, were launched against Ukraine. The strikes targeted Kyiv and the region, the Dnipro, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Poltava, and Sumy regions. Tragically, one person was killed in the Fastiv district. My condolences to the family and loved ones. Eight people were injured, including one child. The main target of the attack was the energy sector. Ordinary residential buildings were also damaged, and there is damage to the railway. Moscow continues to invest in strikes more than in diplomacy. This week alone, Russia launched more than 1,300 attack drones against Ukraine, over 1,400 guided aerial bombs, and 96 missiles of various types, including dozens of ballistic ones. That is why we must bolster our air defense. We need systems that effectively counter ballistic threats. Thank you to all our partners who help us procure air defense missiles through PURL and provide them from their own stocks. Each such package protects critical infrastructure and preserves normal life.

Today Europe is providing us with funding, and I am grateful for that. Second, PURL is one of the programs through which we procure air defense from the Americans. It is financed by Europe, and we must respect both this program and the fact that Europe funds it. Is it enough? It varies. There are states about which it can be said that they give enough, because they allocate significant funds for a single country. There are others that give very little. And then there are those blocking assistance. It would be enough for these countries to do nothing, but instead they do harm. So is the overall financing sufficient? No. But Europe, for the most part, stands with Ukraine and helps Ukrainians. That is true. Do we need more? Absolutely, because we do not have the same amount of weapons as the Russian Federation. And when we talk about personnel, Europeans can help if – or when – we transition our army from mobilization to contracts. The same thing Putin is doing: he pays each person money for a contract. We want this as well, but we do not have enough funds. This is where Europeans could help. This program is not yet financed by Europeans. From an interview with BBC 3/3

I am grateful to His Majesty and to the entire United Kingdom for their unwavering support of our people, as well as for their strong public messages in support of Ukraine and the pursuit of peace for our country. @RoyalFamily

Together with @SecGenNATO Mark Rutte, we discussed countering Russian provocations and new contributions to the PURL initiative. We agreed on our next steps in the framework of Ukraine–NATO cooperation and discussed the upcoming Ramstein meeting, which will be held at the level of defense ministers. I thank Mark personally and NATO member states for their support of Ukraine. Together we are stronger.

I met with President of France @EmmanuelMacron. We discussed strengthening Ukraine’s air defense, the escalation by Russia against European countries, and the cases of detected drones in Poland, Romania, and Denmark, as well as fighter jets in Estonia. A swift response and action are needed. We also focused on the use of frozen Russian assets for the benefit of Ukraine and on further tightening sanctions against Russia, in particular regarding its shadow tanker fleet. I thank Emmanuel and all of France for supporting Ukraine and for efforts aimed at bringing peace closer.

We will have the 218th vote to release the Epstein Files later this month once the winner of the AZ-07 special is sworn in. But one more Republican can show great courage right now and commit to signing. That person would be a hero in history.

On the battlefield situation: it remains difficult. It’s complicated because of the enemy numbers, the volume of drones, shifting technologies: today one kind of drone/EW line works; tomorrow drones and engines change, other EW lines work. What matters first: we control the front.

Today, we mark the Day of Tank Forces. We thank all who have dedicated themselves to this service. To be a tank crew member means daily work under risk, in difficult conditions – it is teamwork, precision, endurance, and immense responsibility. Our tank crews enter the hottest spots, cover the infantry, fire on enemy positions, and save the lives of their brothers-in-arms. We thank every tank crew member for courage and professionalism. Eternal memory to all who gave their lives defending Ukraine’s freedom. Glory to our tank warriors! Glory to Ukraine!

The bravery and precision of our tank crews, the firepower and maneuverability of tanks – as before, they remain vital for defending Ukrainian positions and destroying Russian soldiers, their positions, and fortifications. Across our combat brigades, over 100 tank battalions are in operation, all of which are experienced units – a substantial tank force in Europe. The warriors we are proud of. Experience that Ukraine is ready to share with our partners. Today, we are presenting state awards to our finest warriors – those who have distinguished themselves in defending our state and our positions. Once again, I congratulate all our tank warriors. Thank you.

Today, we honor the work of all employees in Ukraine’s oil and gas industry – people of great professionalism and great courage. I thank you for your bravery. I thank you for your efficiency, for the quality of your work. I thank all our drillers, geologists, fitters, engineers, dispatchers – everyone. Every year on September 7, we mark the Day of Military Intelligence of Ukraine – a day that honors many of our brave Ukrainians, courageous hearts who significantly broaden the scope of our capabilities, our active operations at the front, and our state policy.
