I was honored to drop in for a visit with some of Maine’s finest heroes today at the Belfast Fire Department. I’ve always said there’s nothing better than Maine’s neighbor energy and yesterday’s events in Searsmont were proof of that. Dozens of departments responding and hundreds of Mainers stepping up to help out.

Heartbroken to learn of the death of frontline hero, firefighter Andrew Cross, in the tragic Robbins Mill fire yesterday. We are sending our prayers to his family, the Robbins family, and everyone in my beloved Waldo County community.

I am just hearing of the news about the awful events unfolding in Searsmont. Fay and I are praying for the families, first responders, and all those impacted by this tragedy.

It was a fun night speaking to a marvelous crowd at the Kennebec County Republicans Committee! This group is ready to take back our state. Fay and I loved it -- the coffee too! Thank you for having us.
