@JonathanCarless We're no longer offering the capacity info on our app, as following a regular review of our data & technology it was judged to offer poor value for money. During lockdowns & social distancing it was an important part of keeping our customers safe, but since then it is far 1/2
@Cardiffbus
Good Afternoon.
I was just wondering why the capacity checker on your website no longer works and is this a permanent change?
Thank you.
Jonathan Carless.
@tfwrail
Good Afternoon.
I was charged £22.20 for a fare on 25.2.26. I think this may be due to a tap on fare of £2.20 and a penalty fare of £20. How am I able to get this sorted because I did tap on and off on that date.
Thank you.
Jonathan Carless.
Thank you.
@JonathanCarless Hi Jonathan, if you can pop us a direct message, we shall take a look into this for you. Alternatively, you can WhatsApp us on 07790 952 507. We are live until 8pm. Take care ^Meg
@tfwrail
I’ve been charged £20 after a journey from Birchgrove to Pontypridd. Is there anyway to get a refund on this or why I’ve been charged that much?
Thank you.
@tfwrail
Good Afternoon. I forgot to tap off when finishing my journey at Cardiff Central today. Is there something I can do to not pay a penalty fare.
Thank you.
Jonathan Carless.
@tfwrail
Good Afternoon.
I don’t know whether this is the right place for this message but the gate lines at Cardiff Central for tap on tap off are not fit for purpose because they are used for both getting in the station and getting out. At peak time it gets very busy.
From Sunday the 4th of January 2026, there will be a service change🚌

@StagecoachWales
Good Afternoon.
I don’t know where best to send this but I was wondering whether Stagecoach would consider making changes to the 86X route between and the Heath Hospital as currently it doesn't serve the needs of hospital staff very well.
Thank you.
@JonathanCarless Hi Jonathan, Our timetables and routes are reviewed on a regular basis so we will pass your feedback over to the local team for the next review.

@JonathanCarless@JonathanCarless Hi Jonathan, you would need to tap out at the barrier before going to your connection with your paid ticket. You do not need to exit the station.

@tfwrail
Good Morning.
I’m going to be taking a train from Birchgrove to Cardiff Central today using pay as you go and then making an onward connection via a GWR train. Will I be charged extra as I can’t see how I will tap out again when I get to Cardiff Central.
Thank you.
@JonathanCarless Hi Jonathan, We are currently planning for a contingency service and will update as soon as possible. We are hoping that this industrial action can be averted.
@Cardiffbus
Good Morning.
Is there any word on whether the strike action will be going ahead from this Sunday and what effect this will have timetables?
Thank you.
Jonathan Carless.
@JonathanCarless Hi Jonathan, if you're no longer able to make a journey due to disruption, just tap out at the same station within 60 minutes of when you tapped in and you will not be charged for this. If you do not tap back out, then you would have an incomplete journey charge ^Anna
@tfwrail
Good Afternoon.
If I use pay as you go at a station and the train is then cancelled so I decide not to travel, will I be charged for not completing a journey?
Thank you.
Jonathan Carless.
