Seeing models of PGs being questioned so for comparison here is our 60 credit PGCE. There are two units. Unit one: they write a 6 lesson sequence of work with an essay alongside it showing they properly understand the activities they have inserted: retrieval practice, targeted questions, AfL, adaptation for SEND, etc. Unit two: they read academic literature on a specific area such as direct instruction or teaching Shakespeare. They introduce interventions based on that review and then gather data on the impact. That data forms a presentation and then they run a CPD conference using the presentations. The 60 credits means they can gain employment internationally and not just in England. They can also use them to top up to a full MA. Interested in our course?
