What Carrick did this season is what they brought in Lucifer to do last season: stabilise the team, improve performances, raise morale, qualify for Europe. We were closer to top 4 than people realise. Instead, he ended up 15th, started fighting everyone including kids, played everyone out of position, lost a final to frigging Spurs and came out after to boldly insist he would never change his failing system.
AND PEOPLE STILL SUPPORTED HIM.

For me it's: - I deploy in 0 seconds (edit live code) instead of 3 seconds (laptop -> GitHub -> webhook -> server pull) - I have access to live db, much easier than messing around with stale db copies - I can work on my laptop or phone via SSH anywhere, when I close my laptop or phone it doesn't stop running, also I can switch between them easily because Claude Code runs on my server

I realized something else AI has changed about coding: you don't get stuck anymore. Programming used to be punctuated by episodes of extreme frustration, when a tricky bug ground things to a halt. That doesn't happen anymore.
