@mike_mchone I remember when ray told me about it. I was -I believe-- thirteen. And he said that despite his normal optimism, sometimes the world got him very down. The Scythe was his most downbeat and cynical work. Heartbreaking, really.

@JonathanMaberry That looks amazing. The Scythe isn't just my favorite Bradbury short story, but one my favorite stories period. I can't wait to check out the comic!

@DrJKrukowski Sadly, I don't get a percentage. (But I would work for a big bag of hushpuppies!)

@JonathanMaberry I wonder how much business they gained for hush puppies at 5501 Ritchie Hwy, Brooklyn, MD 21225 Or how many nerds like me looked it lol

"They came for me at the beach. Nice and slick, two in front, one big cover duck in a three-point close while I was reaching for my car door. Nothing flashy, just three big ducks in off-the-rack gray, all of them sweating in the Ocean City heat." With quacknowledgements (and apologies) to @JonathanMaberry
Night owling@2ProbablyNever

Improve any story by the addition of ducks: 'It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife and a duck pond."

I have been pondering the events in the latest Rogue Team international book "Red Empire" by @JonathanMaberry. (If you are a fan of the series and haven't picked it up yet. What is keeping you? ) I have come to a conclusion concerning the true identity of one of the long running foes in the series. Forgive me for being vague, but I don't want to spoil it for others. Granted its a leap and a hunch, but its the only thing that makes sense. I wonder if the weaver of the world would at least entertain a question to confirm my hunch. (which of course would be kept confidential.)

Just finished Red Empire by @JonathanMaberry. If you have read the Joe Ledger series, including the continuation series Rogue Team International. This is the latest book and one of the best yet. If you haven't read the series and are up for something great, get ready for twists and turns that will not disappoint. The lore grows in both depth and richness. Hell even the dog is better written then the leads of some other series.
