@GolfBible Just have to look at the dates they try playing their elite events, May and early June. Makes no sense when most players are in college or just getting done. Team events have taken over July… more pressure to play them for most guys.

The WAGR Event Power Numbers indicate that in both 2024 and 2025 the European Amateur Championship attracted a stronger field than The Amateur Championship and also that the majority of GB&I events are sadly now verging on being irrelevant in ranking terms. I find the Event Power Numbers attributed by WAGR for last week’s Amateur Championship (886.8413) and Northeast Amateur Championship (956.0808) to be quite depressing.
