I’m not sure I totally agree. Personally, I still write all my posts the old-fashioned way: by carefully organizing my thoughts into well--structured paragraphs, ensuring a balanced tone, and methodically considering multiple perspectives before arriving at a polite and measured conclusion.
For example, while it’s certainly possible that some people are using AI tools to help draft their posts, it’s also worth acknowledging that many individuals simply enjoy writing in a clear, grammatically consistent style that may coincidentally resemble what people associate with AI output. After all, clarity, coherence, and an almost suspicious level of composure are not inherently artificial traits.
Additionally, technological assistance in writing is hardly unprecedented. People have long relied on tools such as spellcheck, grammar suggestions, and predictive text. From that perspective, the presence of unusually tidy sentence structure, mild analytical framing, and an oddly comprehensive summary at the end of a casual comment thread may not necessarily indicate anything unusual at all.
In conclusion, while I respect the concern being raised, I believe it’s important not to jump to assumptions simply because a response is structured, neutral in tone, and concludes with a neatly packaged reflection that reiterates the main point in a calm and slightly robotic manner.

The number of people who clearly use AI to craft basic posts on this site, and replies to posts, is pretty shocking. Once you learn how to spot AI writing, you see it absolutely everywhere on here. It’s unmistakable. The tech has existed for 10 seconds and already huge swaths of people have completely given up on even the simplest forms of creative writing.

@CynicalPublius @DataRepublican I remain anonymous because of the extremely sensitive nature of the situations I monitor.

Today has been pretty intense. Thank you all for your support. I'm going to sign off for a bit, but I want to leave everyone with some thoughts.
People on the Right tend to use pseudonyms on social media because we have well-founded concerns of death threats, attempts to get us fired from our jobs, attacks on family members, hacking, SWATting and all other manner of evil (and often illegal) mischief from those on the Left, up to and including being murdered for our free speech.
People on the Left tend to use their real names on social media because they know that people on the Right tend to respect the rule of law and the basic dignity of other human beings.
We are not the same.

The most shocking thing about this clip is not the purported change in demeanor in Bessent’s voice before and after being summoned to the Situation Room. That is difficult to ascertain…
The most shocking thing is that immediately after having come back from an emergency meeting with the President, the first thing Bessent says is about how his teenager is “considering military service”, and how he would “trust his child’s life” in the hands of the Secretary of War.

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent was abruptly pulled from a live interview after being told “the President wants you right away.” After returning, his voice was noticeably shaken.
