The University of Oregon just added "ICE presence" to its emergency alert system like shootings and fires. So the presence of federal law enforcement is treated as "an imminent threat to health and/or safety to the campus community.” thecollegefix.com/u-oregon-to-ad…

We have previously discussed Gavin Newsom’s train-to-nowhere project at a cost of $231 billion, but that does not appear to be his only costly boondoggle.  California has spent $450 million on Newsom’s “Next Generation” which will be scrapped entirely. That is 300% over the original cost. jonathanturley.org/2026/05/03/wro…

...It is hardly a surprise that administrator and faculty members pick liberal figures exclusively after purging faculty ranks of virtually all conservative and libertarian professors. Despite years of criticism from donors and commentators in the academic echo chamber, these schools show no interest in offering ideological diversity in hiring or at commencements.

...I am in Las Vegas to speak on my book Rage and the Republic, shorturl.at/vyWmZ, and customers are stranded with voided tickets. The key is not to consider the results of what Biden, Buttigieg, and Warren celebrated, but the spirit...even if Spirit no longer exists...

Spirit customers today may have a difficult time seeing how the blocking of a merger to save the airline was what Elizabeth Warren called "a Biden win for flyers!" Rather than "fewer flights and higher fares" cited by Warren at the time, they now have no flights and no jobs...

...Chief Justice Roberts holds the quaint idea that when the drafters of the 14th Amendment barred discrimination on the basis of race, they meant it. In 2006, Roberts famously wrote, “It is a sordid business, this divvying us up by race.”

...The key is that these proposals would evade a vote of the public and be achieved through Congress. With a hostile takeover of the Court, these figures would be free to pursue radical changes to the political system that would guarantee their hold on power.

Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries just called the Supreme Court "illegitimate." That follows Democratic politicians and pundits calling for the packing of the Supreme Court. Nothing says Happy 250th Anniversary like tearing down the core institutions of the Republic.
