As Goodwin and Kaufmann descend further into the swamp of batshit right-wing shithousery, we as a discipline need to take some responsibility for this. MG in particular was nurtured, supported, applauded by many of the very same people who now take vocal exception to him.

A final word on the Boaventura case: I am morbidly curious to see if the prominent UK sociologists who signed *that* latter will say anything. And it will be interesting to see if the UK sociology community will continue to laud them for their supposed radicalism and criticality.

I just want to say that all my love, respect, & solidarity is with Moira Millán, Bella Gonçalves, Lieselotte Viaene, Miye Tom, Catarina Laranjiero & all women who have spoken out about abusive figures in academia. It takes courage to speak out against powerful profs /1
